Our Story

Little Astra Games is an indie game development studio founded by James (Jimmie) Cox in Fairborn, Ohio, dedicated to crafting cozy, story-driven space themed life simulation games using the Godot engine. We believe the best games combine meaningful player choice with compelling narratives, and that a small, focused team can produce titles that stand alongside anything from larger studios.

We're a Godot-First studio, and that's what sets us apart. Beyond making games, we're committed to championing Godot in commercial game development. Every title we build is powered by Godot, and we aim to prove that open-source technology can deliver polished, professional-quality experiences on par with any engine. Through shared promotions and community engagement, we want to grow Godot's visibility alongside our own.

Our third driving mission is building a community of Godot specialists: programmers, artists, and composers/sound designers. The job market for Godot developers is still small, but through continued exposure and the networking our studio provides, we aim to change that. A stronger market means broader adoption, and broader adoption means a thriving Godot community for everyone.

Based in Fairborn, Ohio, our remote-first team brings together specialists in programming, art, sound design, and narrative to build the games we love.

What Drives Us

Quality Over Quantity

We'd rather release one polished game than rush out ten forgettable ones. Every detail gets the attention it deserves.

Player First

Everything we create starts with the player experience. If it's not fun, it doesn't ship.

Creative Freedom

We make the games we want to play. No trends to chase, no formulas to follow. Just honest game development. Jimmie likes space and role-playing games.

Transparency

We share our journey openly. The success, the failures, and everything in between. Our community grows with us.

The Team

We're a small but dedicated crew. More details coming soon as our team grows.
